LIVE BLOG EDITOR (DE)

Job Description

We are seeking a German football Live Blog Editor to join our dynamic sports content team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the live blog during matches, covering a range of leagues and tournaments. You will provide real-time updates, statistics, and insightful commentary on the games, ensuring our client's audience is informed and engaged. This role is remote and requires flexibility in scheduling, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide live commentary and updates for football matches
• Edit and proofread content for accuracy, clarity, style, and tone
• Fact-check statistics and information, ensuring the reliability of the content
• Collaborate with our team to plan content and coverage
• Stay up-to-date on football news, trends, players and teams

Requirements

• Native fluency in German, both written and spoken
• Proven experience in sports journalism, blogging, or a related field
• In-depth knowledge of European football (Premier League, La Liga, Ligue 1, Serie A, Eredivisie)
• Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions
• Excellent communication, writing, and editing skills
• Proficiency with digital technologies, content management systems and social media
• Ability to work flexible hours in conjunction with the football calendar, including evenings, weekends and holidays

• This is a freelance position with a competitive daily rate. The successful candidate will have the freedom to work from anywhere with reliable internet access
